A Don Bosco Tech student shall:

 

Spirituality

1. Demonstrate knowledge and appreciation of the faith, morals, and practices of Catholic Christianity.

2. Demonstrate understanding of Don Bosco's faith in God and service to others, especially his dedication to youth and invitation to do the same.

3. Articulate a personal spirituality and a vision for its future growth.

 

Academic Preparation

1. Exhibit an assimilation of skills and knowledge consistent with a college preparatory curriculum.

2. Demonstrate both creative and critical thinking skills.

3. Demonstrate a variety of successful problem solving strategies.

 

Technological Competency

1. Acquire a comprehensive overview of a major technical field, including its impact on society.

2. Plan, organize and complete a multi-step project, applying industry-standard principles.

3. Demonstrate a high regard for safety in the workplace.

4. Apply technology to solve problems and present ideas.

 

Communication

1. Be able to research, analyze, evaluate and logically synthesize information.

2. Present ideas and information clearly and effectively through speaking, writing and other media.

 

Leadership and Collaboration

1. Demonstrate effective work habits including honesty, self-reliance, and time management skills.

2. Acknowledge and respect the contributions and opinions of others.

3. Understand the roles and responsibilities of leadership, including planning, delegating and conflict resolution.

 

Citizenship and Personal Responsibility

1. Acquire habits that lead to physical and psychological well-being, and the maintenance of healthy social relationships.

2. Understand the importance of service to the local, national, and world communities.

3. Demonstrate effective learning strategies that will enable him to become a life-long learner.
