RESOURCES

Bosco Tech’s Counseling Department is proud to work closely with families to discover and plan for students’ next steps after high school.

Our goals:

  • To better understand the unique needs, learning styles, preferences, interests, abilities and talents of each student in order to make meaningful and helpful recommendations

  • To demystify the college application and financial aid process for students and families and provide support and guidance

  • To compose powerful letters of recommendation, and assist our students in composing equally powerful application essays

  • To ensure colleges and universities are aware of Tech’s unique academic programs and requirements

  • To help each student discover and maintain confidence, curiosity, and joy, and ensure their future path, whatever it may be, includes being a lifelong learner

In pursuit of these goals, the Counseling Department holds grade-level meetings and hosts guest speakers, alumni roundtables, and workshops. Last year, Bosco Tech hosted over 50 colleges and universities for lunchtime information sessions. We also held drop-in Saturday help sessions for parents and students and evening Q&A and help sessions. Our on-campus College Week has grade-level guest speakers, a mini college fair, and a variety of contests, workshops, and college-themed activities.

We look forward to working with you and your son, and helping him achieve his post-secondary goals!

At Bosco Tech, I learned perseverance when my teachers held me to high standards; I was exposed to critical/analytical thinking that prepared me not only for college, but also for the real world.
