Design affects everything, from products to services to operations. So how do designers and engineers develop strong, effective design? By exploring, brainstorming, prototyping, and testing—and by revising their concepts based on feedback. Integrated Design, Engineering and Art (IDEA) is creating the next generation of designers and thought-leaders who will create solutions to the complex challenges facing industry, society and the planet.

In an interactive setting, IDEA emphasizes four cornerstones:

• Technical proficiency
• Ability to demonstrate ideas three dimensionally
• Comprehension of the design process
• Ability to present ideas and final designs to group

The program focuses on conceiving and designing products for the benefit of society using creativity, imagination and technical knowledge.
