Media Arts & Technology (MAT)

Using cutting edge, industry-leading MSI Aegis Tower computers, MAT students explore their creative potential and develop technical expertise in a variety of media. MAT students blend science, art, and technology to find new ways to communicate complex messages. 

Combining art, science, engineering, and theory, Media Arts and Technology (MAT) provides students with a combination of tools that prepare them for leadership roles in artistic, engineering, production/direction, and educational contexts.

The cross-disciplinary program fuses emergent media, computer science, engineering, and digital art and offers an unparalleled opportunity to work at the frontiers of art, imaging science, and technology, where new art forms are born and new expressive media are invented. Students explore the limits of what is possible in technologically sophisticated art and media, both from an artistic and an engineering viewpoint.
