Thank you for your interest in the 2021-2022 Merit Scholarship and Tuition Assistance program.
As we evaluate all applicants, please keep in mind that we are doing our best to help all families. Offering a superior high school STEM education at an affordable price is both our goal and a key part of our Salesian mission.
The cost of living in California has put a strain on many families. We understand sending your son to Bosco Tech is a wise decision, a significant sacrifice, and a major investment in your son’s future. As a non-profit organization, Bosco Tech must also adjust to rising operational costs. Unfortunately, the need for tuition assistance at Bosco Tech has increased over 35% over the last two years.
Sustaining our financial resources for future growth is critical; therefore, we will continue to be strategic and precise in the distribution of merit and need-based tuition assistance. The school distributed over $1.2 million in 2020-2021 and we anticipate the same for 2021-2022.
Merit Scholarship is awarded to Bosco Tech students at the time of admission based on his academic grade point average (GPA).
Enrolled students with academic GPAs of 3.5 or better are awarded:
$750 (annually, based on eligibility–students must reapply each year)
Enrolled students with academic GPAs of 3.0-3.49 are awarded:
$250 (annually, based on eligibility–students must reapply each year)
Please note, that all merit scholarships are based on availability; once funds have been exhausted, awards and/or scholarships will not be granted. It is advised for new students to apply during the Early Admissions deadline and for returning students, to apply for tuition assistance and submit enrollment packets by the deadline.
IF APPLYING FOR MERIT SCHOLARSHIP ONLY, DO NOT APPLY THROUGH THE ONLINE FACTS GRANT & AID. MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AWARDED BASED ON YOUR SON’S ACADEMIC GRADE POINT AVERAGE (GPA). IF YOUR SON IS ELIGIBLE, AN EMAIL WITH A MERIT APPLICATION WILL BE SENT TO THE PRIMARY CONTACT.
