Are service hours required of parents?

Parents are required to complete 25-40 hours of service (depending on which Service Opportunity selected) per enrolled student (10 hours for each additional student) in a variety of activities and organizations including bingo, the Band Boosters, the Athletic Boosters, library aid work or monthly mailing preparation.  10 hours of your service are required to be served assisting with bingo.

In lieu of volunteer hours, parents may opt-out with a $1,750 non-refundable donation (If you are receiving financial assistance, you are not eligible to opt out of your service hours.)

Also, the school accepts donated goods; for every $50 of purchased and donated goods, one volunteer hour will be credited.  This must have prior approval from the Development Office.  Receipts must be submitted in order to validate hours.

Parent Service Hours Terms and Conditions

I/We understand that the Parent Service Form is non-negotiable and binding. I/We agree to submit this signed contract no later than February 27, 2020 otherwise, my tuition account will be billed in May for $1750 for the “C” Financial Contribution (Opt-Out) option. Failure to fulfill volunteer hours will result in a $50 per hour per family charge to my tuition account and may jeopardize my Tuition Assistance and any other tuition discounts if this fulfillment is not met.

We understand and agree that all tuition, fees, and charges are non-transferable and non-refundable.

In the event that a dispute arises between the school and the signee(s) to this Agreement, the prevailing party shall be entitled to reasonable attorney fees and actual costs. The parties agree that the jurisdiction over any legal matter related to this Agreement shall be the Los Angeles Superior Court or small claims court as appropriate.

We agree that all representations are merged into this agreement and that this Agreement can be modified only in writing signed by the school and the parent(s)/guardian(s).
