How and when do freshmen select their technology?

All incoming ninth graders participate in the five-week Freshman Studies Program, comprised of 4 classes: Introduction to the five technologies, Mathematics, English and Freshmen Readiness rotations. The rotations consist of skills that help with studying, organization, how to prepare for college, as well as an introduction to our Salesian roots.

At the end of the summer program, students will select three technologies to rotate through in six-week blocks during the fall semester.

Upon completion of this coursework, and with the recommendations of technology instructors, an interview with parents, counselor and student will determine the technology placement. The student will major in his chosen technology for the remaining three and one half years of his time at Bosco Tech.
