The Bosco Tech Cross Country ProgramProgram: The Bosco Tech cross country program is composed of individuals who have dedicated themselves to the values of teamwork, self-discipline, commitment, and sportsmanship. Bosco Tech’s distance running program is one of the most respected in the California, winning CIF Southern Section Championships in 1997 and 1998, and State Championships in 1997 and 1999.

League: Del Rey

Classification: Division III of the ClF Southern Section

Levels of Competition: Varsity, Junior Varsity, Freshman/Sophomore

Conditioning Session: extends from June and is held at the end of the school day (during either the late afternoon or the evening)

Practice Season: begins in June

Competitive Season: extends from September to late November

Summer Activities: participation in team mountain trips and a daily weight training program held during summer school

Highlights: The Varsity has won thirteen League Championships (1994-2000, 2002, 2004-2008). The squad has advanced to the CIF preliminaries for the last sixteen years, CIF Finals in 1996-2001, 2007, and 2009 to the State Finals in 1996-2001. The Varsity team won the CIF-Southern Section in 1997 and 1998, and the State Championship in 1997 and 1999. Since 1988, the Junior Varsity has posted record of 116-8 and earned league titles from 1994-2008. During the past seven seasons, the Fresh/Soph has won six league titles from 2003-2008.
