Head Coach - Joshua Aguilera

Joshua Aguilera begins his first season as the Head Basketball Coach at Bosco Tech. He earned his B.A. in Psychology from California State University, Los Angeles, and brings a coaching philosophy centered on accountability, empowerment, and building meaningful relationships with student-athletes.

Coach Aguilera describes his coaching style as stern but supportive. He believes in holding student-athletes accountable while empowering them to reach their full athletic potential. For him, earning the trust of his players is essential to building genuine relationships that help student-athletes thrive both on and off the court.

Integrity, selflessness, and discipline are at the heart of Coach Aguilera’s program. He believes these values can be developed through basketball and will continue to serve his players long after they graduate from Bosco Tech. His goal is to empower young men to become independent thinkers and problem-solvers who are prepared to succeed beyond the basketball court and the classroom.

Coach Aguilera is especially excited for the journey ahead—the daily grind of practice, the challenges and triumphs of competition, and the opportunity to establish a strong culture for Bosco Tech Boys Basketball. He views the first season as an important foundation for the program and an opportunity to set the standard for future generations of student-athletes.

His philosophy can be summed up simply: “Basketball is like life.” Through the sport, Coach Aguilera hopes to teach lessons that extend far beyond the game and prepare his players to become confident, disciplined, selfless, and successful young men.
