Biological, Medical, and Environmental Technology (BMET)

In BMET, students learn about two of the most complex systems ever discovered: living organisms and the environments on which they depend. They will be well-prepared for college-level studies in medicine/health, life sciences, bio-engineering, and environmental science.

BMET students learn

• how biological and environmental systems operate at both the micro and macro level, under both normal and adverse conditions;

• practical skills to expand that knowledge through scientific experiments, as well as skills to manipulate these systems towards a desired outcome;

• moral and ethical tools to determine, at a fundamental level, what humanity should be doing to respect and sustain life and the environment.
