Don Bosco Technical Institute (Bosco Tech) will host its baccalaureate and commencement exercises for the graduating class of 2018 on Friday, June 8, starting at 5 p.m.

The Baccalaureate Mass will be held on the campus mall, with the traditional conferral of diplomas and graduation ceremony immediately following. This year’s keynote speaker is alumnus Nick Mansur (class of ‘71), an engineering management consultant who has led large engineering and design teams at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, The Boeing Company and the Walt Disney Company during his 43-year-career. Graduating seniors Grayson Wade, recipient of the President’s Volunteer Service Award, and Patrick Kakooza, a George H. Mayr Foundation Scholar, will serve as co-valedictorians. In keeping with Tech tradition, junior Nicolas Gutierrez will give the salutatorian message. The festivities will feature the school’s traditional alumni reception line, where past graduates congratulate and welcome each new member into the ranks of the Bosco Tech Alumni Association.

“Bosco Tech’s faculty, staff and alumni are extremely proud of these graduates,” said Principal Xavier Jimenez. “We are confident in the future success of this hard working group. Each graduate has a talent, a uniqueness, about them that I have experienced over their years at Bosco Tech. Every one of our graduates has earned acceptances to four-year colleges across the country, including schools like Notre Dame, UCLA, USC, and Rutgers University.”
